The Sonas Collection is a group of three stylish family-run boutique hotels on the Isle of Skye owned and run by Anne Gunn whose accolades include Scottish Hotelier of the Year and a Gold Laurel as Scotland’s ‘most visionary entrepreneur’.
Toravaig House is situated in an elevated, south facing position on the Sleat peninsula on the Isle of Skye, enjoying views out across the Atlantic waters of the Sound of Sleat. This Hebridean Gem has, many times, won the title “Scottish Island Hotel of the Year” at the Scottish Hotel Awards. With its comfortable lounge, open fire and baby grand piano, this is a gorgeous place to begin your evening after a day exploring our beautiful Island. Toravaig offers an elegant dining experience in its 2AA rosette restaurant which offers the best of local produce.
The chic and elegant Duisdale House Hotel also situated on the Sleat peninsula at the South tip of Skye, has breath-taking views and peaceful, picturesque gardens, and an outdoor hot tub. Built in 1865 as a Hunting Lodge, Duisdale House was given a new lease of life when it was refurbished to provide an immaculate, stylish boutique hotel, where guests are offered the highest level of service to ensure a memorable stay. This is reflected in the awards won by the hotel, including Scotland’s Independent Hotel of the Year (Catering in Scotland Awards, 2015). Dining at Duisdale is a must as the team of chef’s are dedicated to offering the best of island and Highland cuisine. You can chose to dine in our 2 AA rosette fine dining restaurant where you will enjoy innovative Scottish cooking at its best, or a more casual supper in the Chart Room.
Steeped in history, Skeabost is the third and latest addition to the group. Located centrally on the Isle of Skye, the 18 bedroom House is the only hotel on Skye with its own golf course - a nine hole, shoreline challenge. The fast flowing River Snizort which runs through the grounds provides excellent salmon and trout fishing. The current building began life as a hunting lodge in 1871. It came into ownership of the Sonas Collection in 2015 and has been extensively refurbished. The renovation has artistically blended original features with contemporary furniture and fabrics, including tweeds in eye-catching colours, to create an enchanting ambience which oozes luxury, style and Victorian grandeur. Public areas provide surroundings to match any occasion, from sitting by the fire in the drawing room, reading a novel in the bright morning room, to dining in the award-winning restaurants.
We are proud to offer all our staff the Living Wage as a minimum.
